What a wonderful stay! The building and its common areas are beautiful and historic, the room was stylish and comfortable, the food and drinks were delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We've done a few staycations around L.A., and this one was easily the best one yet. The Roosevelt is great value as far as L.A. hotels go, and we would happily return any time. If this is your first time in L.A., The Roosevelt is very conveniently located for exploring the city, but the immediate area is a bit touristy and tacky. Once you're in the hotel though, you're in a whole other world! It's also a very convenient location for catching public transit or driving to other parts of L.A., the area is walkable, and you're near some L.A. greats like Musso & Frank and The Pantages.

Love the Roosevelt Hotel. This was my fourth stay and it just gets better and feels a little like LA home when visiting. Everything is familiar yet fresh and there is a comfort in that. The rooms are lovely and spacious. The pool is a luxurious swim with the David Hockney mural and the historic lobby bar is the perfect way to end the day with a drink. Staff are super efficient and friendly. Location is great also, with plenty to take in - Chinese Theatre, El Capitan and Musso and Frank Grill. Be sure to have a meal at the Shirley Brasserie - it's a stunning venue and the food is exceptional. Named after Shirley Temple, who has a connection with the hotel - she practised her famous stairstep dance on the stairs in the foyer.

Everything: from comfy four poster, big desk & TV in room, light, bright bathroom, plus great choice minibar, to pool area and coffee shop. TOP LOCATION opp. Graumans, Walk of Fame & Dolby. Easy for tours pick up, Highland & Hollywood. Staff friendly & helpful. Used Concierge for h/car delivery to hotel. Breakfast by pool area lovely, same cocktails. Tower has great views, we lucked in and got theater/Hollywood sign. (For Marilyn suite by pool check review Walk with Tim pod on YT) For us, complete haven away from boulevard outside. Especially loved the history of place. Unique. Value.

I loved the pool area and spent most my time there. I thought the location was great. Having the parking lot across the street was great to save on valet. Valet too expensive for people staying there. The room was nice.. really no complaints. Very cool Old Hollywood vibe. Check in was great...lobby bar was great...The Pool is definitely the highlight. The bar food and drinks at pool area great and the Rose cafe for breakfast.

Jill

Pool is amazing, ensure to get there early in the summer for a spot. Spare room bar is great Old Hollywood and history of the building is a plus. Location is in a touristy area (which might be or not be ideal for you) but centrally located to other parts and sites of the city. Easy to Uber to other locations and not too expensive. Check what activities are offered during your stay as there is yoga, movie showings etc.
